My computer is named after Queequeg from Moby Dick. (It's spelled Xueexueg because a few years ago, someone else on my Appletalk network heard about my Queequeg and decided to name her computer Queequeg, too; she's gone now but I stuck with it). So I named my white, plastic idol iPod after Queequeg's black wooden idol, Yojo.
I wonder how many people stick with an established (or establishing) naming convention for their machines, and how many just wing it.

I've had two pods now and I've named 'em "All Creation" and "Premium Heart." My old Rio was "Cosmo Memory." What can I say? I love FF7

My iPod is aptly named 'Apple Dumpling'I have a theme for my naming (Apple Crisp, Apple Cider, Apple Orchard, Apple Tart, Apple Butter, etc)
