Hands-On With Altec Lansing iMV712 Mini-Theater For iPod 5G
This afternoon iProng received what is to the best of our knowledge the first iMV712 review unit Altec Lansing has sent out to any publication, and that pleased us greatly because this is a system that we've been dying to get into our labs since we first spent time with it back at January's Macworld Expo. What makes the iMV712 so special? Altec Lansing is known for its high-end dockable iPod stereo systems, but pardon the pun, this one is visibly different: front and center is a built-in 8.5 inch LCD screen for watching your iPod's video (or any other source of video, but we'll get to that in a moment). Half a day of testing is not enough to form the basis of a full review, but we wanted to put this First Look in the hands of readers as soon as possible, simply due to the breakthrough nature of this product.
